This website is the initiative of the International Therapeutic Jurisprudence in the Mainstream project. The project seeks to promote the use of TJ approaches in mainstream legal settings.
The project is driven by an exceptionally talented Advisory Group spanning 18 countries many of whom have been at the forefront of TJ innovations in courts and tribunals for many years. The project is coordinated by – Pauline Spencer (Victoria, Australia), David Wexler (Puerto Rico) & Mike Jones (Arizona).
Sharing knowledge – The project seeks to link the latest research and resources with the people who are doing this work “on the ground” in courts and tribunals – judges, lawyers, prosecutors, court support workers, managers and other staff.
Building knowledge through TJ scholarship – The project also seeks to encourage TJ scholarship among academics and students in law schools and other disciplines.
Sharing expertise – Members of the project advisory group are available to share their knowledge and expertise with others who want to explore how TJ can be used in their setting.
